Did we already know about this? Because I sure as heck didn’t - Forever21 has a small line of home goods. And - especially for being mostly under $20 - I don’t hate it.
In fact this pillow is pretty dang swell.

And this one is too…

And I don’t hate this one…

And why not throw in a bunny jewelry dish because… I said why not?

Here’s hoping they expand the line to include more textiles and tchotchkes and less hello kitty because if there is one thing I need more of, it’s tchotchkes.
I’d really like to procure this Jonathan Adler “JOY” jar for my home, but it’s no longer listed on his website and every other online site that I can find a link for has it listed as out of stock. Sadz. Anyone have a lead on where I might find one?
(no luck on ebay either).
haha! Lookie there. I finally got to use the book title in a relevant blog post title.
But there seriously are like 50 shades of gray. Scratch that. There’s like one million (said in your best Dr. Evil voice) shades of gray.
We’ve narrowed it down to five to paint our bedroom. The bedroom was blue when we moved in (almost) three years ago, and it is not terribly offensive so we never got around to painting it, but we’re ready for a change, so gray it is.
They’re all Benjamin Moore. From top to bottom: Fieldstone, Rockport Gray, Storm, Gray Owl, and Smoke Embers.
Here it is again, by a window:
And over our bed:
(that’s rockport gray, storm, field stone, gray owl and smoke embers from left to right up there)
And around my messy dresser with my freshly showered self:
On the left is rockport gray (left top), fieldstone (right top), storm (bottom), and on the right is gray owl (top) and smoke embers (bottom).
We forced ourselves to nail it down to these colors because at $6.99 a sample pot, these suckers really add up and I could paint gray swatches for days. So. many. options.
Now the question is: Based on these mostly blurry pictures that are not at all well lit, which is your favorite? We’ve narrowed it down to our top two, but everyone knows I can’t make any decisions without the internet weighing in.
Oh, and in other news, our bookcases were delivered (and by delivered, my dad and Jason picked them up) and I’m in lurve.
Art for above this one still needs to be procured. And optimal drum placement is still to be determined as well as shelf styling. Tips appreciated.
They are behemoths. We turned one into a new entertainment center, so that solves the problem of what to put over this one.
Hope you’re having a great week. Mercury is out of retrograde so things can only go up from here.
When people have a blog and they go days and days without posting. Or, maybe you haven’t even noticed? In that case, nevermind.
I’ve been racking my brain trying to come up with some ideas for posts, but really all I can think about is how freaking hot I am. Literally, not figuratively. And how I am ready for fall and how obsessed I’ve become with True Blood (we’re on season 2 right now), and also how obsessed Jason and I have become with yard sales. Oh my gah, we find ourselves going to bed early on Friday and so we can be out of the house by 6:30 in the morning on a Saturday to go to them. What is our problem?
Is this stuff worthy posting for a blog? I don’t know.
Oh, another thing I’m pretty obsessed with are some new bookcases we just got and the will be delivered on Saturday, and by delivered I mean Jason and my brother will go pick them up so we don’t have to pay a delivery fee because I’m cheap. I’d show you a picture, but I don’t have one. It’s been almost three years in our house and we finally, finally, finally are upgrading from the rinky dink Target bookcase Jason picked up when he was in grad school. I’m a firm believer that you should only put things in your home that you love and so I was okay going without some bookcases until I found the perfect ones, but I’m not lying when I say I am glad that we can get our books out from the closets they have been shoved into. Even though I don’t have a picture, I can tell that we got our bookcases at this new store at Crabtree called Arhaus. They took over the old Crate & Barrel spot (and I think the old Smith and Hawken, too. The place is huge!). Apparently Arhaus has been around for a while, but this is their first store in the area and I am obsessed with them.
I’ll also tell you that right now they are having a big sale and the floor model of this couch was marked down to $699 (normally $2,299). If I had somewhere to put it, I would have tried my hardest to convince Jason we should purchase it on the spot. It’s really great. Maybe you live in the area and need a couch?
