ask me a question

about me

Hello there, you lucky person! Welcome to my brain. You've stumbled upon my collection of thoughts on fashion, beauty, marriage, fashion and life. Pour some (sweet) tea (vodka) and kick up your feet. I hope you enjoy poking around the site.

Who am I you ask? I'm a southern woman trying to navigate her way through life. I am married with one dog and when I have a free moment it's spent with fashion(!), family, friends, or fried food.

I'm a happy wife with a mostly sunny and slightly sarcastic outlook on life.

If you see something you like, leave a comment by clicking on "love" at the top of each post. Comments are my favorite.

Coldie Thursday is decidedly less glam tonight. With Jason taking his PE exam tomorrow (!!!), I’m trying to get all the packing done that my little (or perhaps average) body can squeeze in.
And in case you were wondering, yes I am wearing a 10K shirt from a race that I actually did run. Nevermind you that it was in 1999 (hence the Y-10K “joke”).

After work, we celebrated Coldie Thursday (hubs and my weekly pre-weekend kick-off celebration) at Jason’s new hangout, the local coffee shop where he spends hours and hours and hours (and hours) studying. However, this is no ordinary coffee shop. They serve beer and wine and real food (not just silly scones) and have bands and stuff. So, I met him out after his study sesh and we cheers’ed to Thursday with some cold beers (coldies) and live music.
The Way I Wore:
Jacket: The Limited
T-shirt: Zoa
Leggings: Express
Boots: Steve Madden
Necklace: Forever 21
P.S. This is the first time I have ventured “leggings as pants” outside the house. I have to thank Tanya and Jaclyn for their fab legging tips.

My favorite part of every weekday is coming home and changing from my work clothes into something more comfortable.
My favorite part of every Thursday after work is that it’s unofficial “coldie day” at my house which means that Thursday evenings must be spent drinking at least one “cold one” whether it’s a mimosa, a glass of wine, or a beer! Cheers to that.
My favorite part of ANY day is when you come home and there are goodies from the internet waiting for you (like this dress).
The Way I Wore
Dress: Vintage from Market Publique. The skirt part has really cute pleats that are hard to see in the photos.
Shoes: Aldo
Belt: Banana Republice
Bracelets: A modge podge of KJL and Forever 21
Birdcage: For artistic effect (ha!)
