Beneath the Harvest Moon

This past weekend, we headed an hour and a half west to attend an annual event that has quickly become one of our most cherished parts of fall - Barstok. It’s a weekend full of music, friends, family, food and love and it’s put on by one of my favorite families, the Bartok’s, to honor their son and brother that suddenly passed away two years ago. This event was his vision and with lots of love and hardwork, it’s become a reality.

It rained off and on for most of the day, but we didn’t let that put a damper (pun!) on our fun.

Another of our friends who is a fabulous chef turned this:

Into this (oh my nom, it was so good) for dinner on Saturday:

Around 6 pm (we got there at 12), the sky parted and treated us to a rainbow before the cool evening set in.

With over half a dozen bands on the docket, great music lasted well into the night:

And, of course, there were glow sticks.
