Ten Things on a Monday

  1. Newlyweds > Married to Jonas. Just sayin’. But, I do hope that Dani and Kevin stayed married unlike Nick and Jessica. RIP.
  2. I ugly cried watching that woman’s water birth on the Keeping up with the Kardashians epic marathon (their words, not mine) yesterday.
  3. I’m on the Korres lip butter train, and I’m not getting off any time soon. My smackers are smooth like buttah.
  4. Jason is away at a work conference and I’m reverting to childlike ways - eating too much ice cream, dessert before dinner, staying up past my bed time and not doing chores because I don’t wanna!
  5. I’ve read everything in my google reader and I feel like I reached the end of the internet. Got any blog recommendations for me? I prefer real blogs written by real people with a real perspective. If I see one more roundup of which oxblood colored items to purchase for fall, I might just fall asleep forever.
  6. My new gel manicure smells like licorice. I swear.
  7. I got a new car a couple of weeks ago. And on Saturday I got the first car bill. It really took the wind out of my sails. I mean, I knew it was coming, but still… sigh. My car-payment-free days are over. womp womp.
  8. Lately, I have been wanting to eat ALL the sweet things. I can’t stop (see ice cream note above). Thankfully, I just discovered this blog and plan to make this and this as my first experiments in having my cake and eating it, too. Cakes made of beans FTW. I hope.
  9. This article on Politico which takes an inside look at the Romney campaign was very interesting.
  10. I have NO plans for this weekend. It’s the first weekend in a long string of weekends that I can remember having no plans at all.  I’m really looking forward to doing absolutely nothing for two days straight. Aren’t those the best weekends anyway? Until then, let’s plow through this work week.
Cheers!
