Shower Power
One of the reasons I’ve been absent from ye ole blog lately is that I’ve been spending the better part of the past month getting ready for my best gal Katie’s wedding shower that we hosted at our house this past Saturday. Katie’s found her perfect partner and a true gentleman in Evan, and planning this shower with my five other hostesses with the mostesses over the past month has been so much fun.
Since it was a couple’s shower, we kept things fun for both genders by having a cookout complete with hamburgers, hot dogs, all the sides, and an assortment of cobblers for dessert. We eschewed traditional shower games and opted for a cornhole tournament that lasted throughout the night. With music in one room, and football in another, there was plenty of entertainment for everyone, and the night was a huge success. And if you’re looking for a fun party drink, I made this Southern Sweet Tea Spritzer. It was a major hit. I’d definitely recommend it for your next party or tailgate.
