Who am I you ask? I'm a southern woman trying to navigate her way through life. I am married with one dog and when I have a free moment it's spent with fashion(!), family, friends, or fried food.

I'm a happy wife with a mostly sunny and slightly sarcastic outlook on life.

On a total whim last week, I popped into JC Penney. I usually go to Pennies (as it’s so oft called) when I need appliances and… umm… that’s it. However, this time, I wandered over to the clothing offerings and let me just tell you that I was shocked! I don’t know what happened over there, but the clothes were actually cute! and they fit! and the quality was definitely above average! and the price!!!!!!!!! Here’s a few pieces that I tried on in the store and once we close on the house, I will definitely be purchasing. Gah. I’m still amazed by the deals to be had. 1. T-shirt dress, $44 now $14.99. Hello???? $15!! No brainer. 2. I (heart) Ronson Look. This is actually three pieces from Charlotte Ronson’s I (heart) Ronson line for JC Penney. Let’s break this one down: Ruffle Blouse, $44 now $29.99. Love the print! Pleat Skirt, $30 now $14.99 Bomber Jacket, $72 now $29.99 Add your own socks/tights and some booties and your whole outfit is $75. 3. Dolman Sleeve Top, $36 now $24.99. This is so seriously soft that it rivals my beloved Splendid basics. I also love the dolman sleeve. 4. Zip Back Tank, $44 now $14.99. I love the exposed zipper, and that skirt part is 100% silk. Wear over leggings and with a cute leather jacket and boots. Voila! Weekend fall look for pittance.
