ask me a question

about me

Hello there, you lucky person! Welcome to my brain. You've stumbled upon my collection of thoughts on fashion, beauty, marriage, fashion and life. Pour some (sweet) tea (vodka) and kick up your feet. I hope you enjoy poking around the site.

Who am I you ask? I'm a southern woman trying to navigate her way through life. I am married with one dog and when I have a free moment it's spent with fashion(!), family, friends, or fried food.

I'm a happy wife with a mostly sunny and slightly sarcastic outlook on life.

Be still my beating heart.
I just scored these lovely dresses off of MarketPublique.com.  They were both less than $40 and look simply divine, no?  One nice thing about MarketPublique (aside from it being ONLY vintage), is that not that many people know about it… yet… so you don’t have insane amounts of people trying to outbid you at the last minute like you do on ebay.
I would also just like to mention that I realize I talk a lot about dresses - buying them, wearing them, twirling in them - on this here blog. But I also realize that I have an unhealthy obsession with them, so at least I’m not in denial. I vividly remember this one time, I was at a work conference luncheon and the speaker said that professional dress for women did not include dresses. I about spit my sweet tea all over my carrot cake. Sacrilege I say!
Surely, the ones pictured above would never be so lucky (or unlucky) to grace my cube, but there are some dresses that are great for work. In fact, I’m becoming inspired for my next post (have I also mentioned how great I am at procrastination?).
