Hello World!
The holidays have been a whirlwind of family, friends, gingerbread and hot cocoa! It’s nice to be back home and getting settled into a somewhat normal routine again, and of course part of that routine includes posting more regulary to my lil ole blog.

Confession #2
I’ve never been further west than Utah and I’ve never been further north on the east coast than Virginia. (Now, the midwest, that’s a different story as I was born in ND.)
I’ve been to England, France, and Spain, but I’ve never even been to California or Maine which are right here in my own proverbial backyard. I sense some trip planning in my future.
Confession
I adore Van Morrison, but it was Jessica Simpson that inspired to me to play “Crazy Love” as our first dance at our wedding. She and Nick danced to it at their wedding. Fortunately, I’m not under the pressures of fame and stardom and “the reality show curse.”

I received a little goodie bag of Christmas deliciousness from a coworker today. Well, the two chocolate chip cookies inside were not chocolate-y enough for my liking, so I took 2 of the Ghirardelli chocolate squares and placed them between the cookies and proceeded to eat my chocolate chip cookie sandwich. There’s something so liberating about eating like an 8 year old...

No cavities. Yipeeee!
But, my suspicions were confirmed - my wisdom teeth must be extracted. (cue scary music and evil laughter from fictitious oral surgeon).
I’m not sending out Christmas cards this year either. But my defense is I’m doing my part to save the environment. Especially since I caved and bought cute wrapping paper to cover my gifts. I’m sorry Mother Earth.

My boss is in Vegas, I’m not. If I were, I’d wear this.
Every year, my girlfriends from college and I get together for a Secret Santa gift exchange. This will be the fourth consecutive year for our spirited shin dig. Everyone brings a yummy dish, we exchange gifts and then head out for a ladies night on the town. This year, I will be wearing the above outfit. Look for a sparkly girl in a hot pink, high waisted skirt this Saturday and say hi!
