The Way I Wore: Brunchy Brunch Brunch

This past Saturday, I had the distinct pleasure of grabbing brunch with some fellow bloggers. I can hands down say that my favorite part of blogging has been all of the fabulous people I’ve met through this medium.

In addition to being excited about meeting up with the other bloggers, I was super pumped to sport these J Brands for the first time, which I picked up on may-jah clearance many moons ago. It had just been too daggone hot to wear them sooner. They have the biggest bell bottoms my eyes ever did see and I love it. These bell bottoms of love (name bequeathed by me because I love them) are a nice complement to my drawers full of skinny jeans. I sense a denim fashion shift on the horizon.

Jbrands are my favorite–I have several pairs of the Kat style and I can’t get enough of the bell bottom love.

Believe it or not, this is my first pair of J Brands! But I’m definitely a fan. I’ll have to check out the Kat style (btw, I believe these are the Doll; love the high waist on ‘em which you can’t see here, obv)

I have purchased all my jbrands on ruelala, but I’ve eyeballed a few
        pairs on eBay as well.

My other fancy jeans include Joe’s and AG’s and Sevens and Citizens,
and Paige’s that I also love, but they fit a bit less like a glove and
more like a sausage casing at my current weight.

I think one of the things that works for me on the jbrands is that
higher waist thang. I’m 5’7″, but I’ve barely got a 30″ inseam. Low
rise pants make my torso look like a fun house mirror and they
constantly show off way more of my tush than I think the world cares
        to see :)

Needless to say, I’ve become a pro at hemming jeans. I can keep the
original hem and even my closest friends swear they can’t tell the
difference even when they’re right up on my hemline.

Kudos on the new blog BTW. I know transitioning is no small feat. I
wish you all the best and will definitely keep reading :)

Thanks, Amanda! And you know that Daily Baxter is absolutely one of my daily follows :) . I love seeing what your crazy fur child gets in to, and he’s such a good writer! Must take after his mama.

I’d say 99.9% of my jeans are sevens. sigh. i love them so. I have one pair of Paige jeans but they stretch out like a mo fo. I can’t wear them for more than 5 minutes before I need a belt, even though they were tighter than tight when I first put them on. Also love Joe’s, especially for jorts.

thanks, doll! it didn’t take me too long to make the move… about 3 days to get everything set up and then another 2 days to transfer it all over. i wasnt too worried about losing everything because i found a plugin that allowed me to transfer from tumblr to wordpress pretty easily.
